Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be working with our client who are looking to add an experienced Meeting and Events Manager to their team. 
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Events Manager to join our clients team. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of high-end events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties. You will lead the events team to deliver flawless service, ensuring each event exceeds client expectations and upholds our luxury standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Management: Oversee the end-to-end planning of all events, including concept development, logistical arrangements, scheduling, and delivery. Ensure each event is executed to the highest standard.
  • Client Liaison: Build strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and guidance throughout the event planning process. Act as the main point of contact for high-profile clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of events coordinators and support staff, ensuring clear communication and smooth collaboration to deliver seamless events.
  • Budget Management: Manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining the high-quality standards of the resort. Provide accurate costings and oversee invoicing for each event.
  • Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external suppliers (florists, entertainment, photographers, etc.), negotiating contracts and ensuring they deliver in line with our luxury brand standards.
  • On-Site Event Management: Be present at events to oversee setup, execution, and breakdown. Ensure that all staff deliver a luxury experience from start to finish.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to promote the resort’s event offerings. Attend networking events to promote the venue as a premier luxury destination for high-end events.
  • Compliance: Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-profile events, such as weddings, corporate meetings, and private parties.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to success.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience in managing client and vendor relationships.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing event budgets.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the event schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Events Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional certifications in event planning or project management would be an advantage.
