Position: Live-in Housekeeper
Salary: £40,000 per year (including utilities)
Location: Belgravia, London
Schedule: 5 days per week

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Live-in Housekeeper to deliver exceptional housekeeping and laundry services. The successful candidate will collaborate with the house manager and another housekeeper, following instructions but also working independently with initiative.

The family occupies the residence for around 8 months of the year, with a standard 5-day workweek.

During busier times, an additional 6th workday may be required (either Saturday or Sunday), with time off provided during the following week in compensation.

Accommodation is provided in a separate, fully furnished basement apartment just a short distance from the main residence. This will include 1 bedroom, a comfortable living room with a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with both a bathtub and a separate shower. All utility bills are covered.

Key Responsibilities:
The housekeeper will be responsible for all laundry tasks, as almost nothing is sent out for dry cleaning. Duties include washing, ironing king-sized bed linens, hand-washing delicates, pressing, valeting, and spot-cleaning. A genuine interest in laundry care is essential.

When laundry is complete, the housekeeper will help maintain and clean three nearby apartments occupied by other family members.

While there are no expectations to cook, shop, or care for children or pets, the housekeeper may occasionally be asked to assist with additional tasks, such as cleaning terrace furniture or valeting the client’s car.

As a keyholder, the housekeeper will also be responsible for securing the properties, ensuring alarms are set, and responding to any issues or false alarms if needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in private household service
• Legally eligible to work in the UK
• Willingness to work a 6th day when required
• Comfortable with living on-site
• Proficiency in English
