Role: Housekeeper
Location: Private estate near Windsor Park, Surrey
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 gross per annum (DOE)
Start Date: Immediate
Working Schedule: 8 am to 4 pm, 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off (typically Friday/Saturday or weekdays). Flexibility and overtime may be required during the summer months when the client is in residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the House Coordinator to maintain the estate’s buildings to a 6-star housekeeping standard.
- Ensure cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the house and outbuildings.
- Maintain accurate stock of housekeeping consumables, linens, and equipment, notifying the House Coordinator when items need replenishing.
- Follow cleaning programs and housekeeping maintenance schedules as directed.
- Care for soft furnishings, ensuring they are well-maintained and positioned correctly.
- Oversee the cleanliness of front-of-house and back-of-house areas, including linens, crockery, cutlery, and service items.
- Provide valet services as needed and assist with light laundry duties if requested.
- Keep all outbuildings and storage areas organised and tidy.
- Monitor contractors on-site to ensure maintenance is performed to the required standards.
- Support other departments, including the external grounds team, throughout the year.
- Promptly report any issues with the house or equipment to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on housekeeping experience in a 5-star hotel or HNW private home.
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
- Positive track record of working effectively within a team.
- Must live within 40 minutes of the estate.
- A car and a full driver’s license are advantageous.
- Previous service experience is a plus.
