Position: Full-Time Housekeeper
Location: Mayfair, London
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 gross per annum, DOE
Working Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 9 hours per day with 30 mins break (flexibility required)
The Housekeeper will play an integral role in ensuring the property is maintained to an immaculate standard, meeting the needs and preferences of the Principal and their family. Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, pantries, and common areas.
- Clean and organise back-of-house areas, verandas, gym, and storage spaces.
- Perform laundry services, including washing, ironing, folding, and handwashing delicate items, adhering to high standards.
- Assist with wardrobe management, including packing and unpacking for family members and guests.
- Maintain knowledge of and properly handle cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the House Manager or Senior Housekeeper.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and report any faults.
- Provide basic service support, such as preparing tea or coffee and setting up dining areas when required.
- Attend daily briefings and communicate effectively with the Senior Housekeeper or House Manager regarding tasks and updates.
- Respond promptly to any requests or feedback from the Principal or family members.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with light pet care if required.
- Support the family during travel by working in other properties as needed.
- Adhere to all house policies, including grooming standards and confidentiality agreements.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and meet house standards.
Ideal candidate:
- Proven experience as a professional housekeeper in a private household or luxury hospitality setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Discreet, reliable, and able to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the household team.
