Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with an award winning, family run hotel who are dedicated to providing outstanding service to their guests.
Located in the the little market town of Melton Mowbray they are keen for an experienced and enthusiastic Recruitment & HR Officer to join their team.
The Recruitment & HR Officer will be responsible for the co-ordination of all aspects of recruitment across the business. You will provide a professional HR service to employees at the hotel and act as an ambassador for all of their people related policies and procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
Recruitment
- Liaising closely with all Heads of Departments/supervisors in respect of current
vacancies. - Liaising with job applicants either by telephone, letter or email including updating
them on the outcome of their application. Ensuring that relevant information is
recorded and that pools of candidates are managed for future opportunities
where appropriate. - Managing and streamlining processes using the Applicant Tracking System.
- Taking ownership of when and how vacancies are advertised both internally and
externally. - Ensuring that the internal job vacancy noticeboard is always presentable and up
to date. - Researching and sourcing new advertising platforms to reach out to new
candidates. - Building good working relationships with external partners e.g. Job Centres,
schools, and colleges. - Working with recruitment agencies in respect of certain vacancies, when
required. - Building upon and effectively managing a candidate database. Planning and
producing creative content for vacancy alerts at regular intervals. - Creating inspiring and innovative job adverts for all roles, ensuring the tone and
content will attract suitable candidates. - Reviewing and contributing to job descriptions.
- Assisting the Beauty Recruitment Team with aspects of their recruitment process.
- Ensuring the hotel is compliant with all Right to Work requirements in relation to documentation for new employees.
- Regularly reporting and providing analysis on all recruitment statistics.
- Organising and attending internal and external recruitment events, jobs fayres etc, acting as an ambassador.
Digital Recruitment:
- Assisting with updates and changes to the recruitment website to capture maximum interest. Regularly reviewing the content to ensure that all information is correct and up to date.
- Assisting with producing and posting interesting, relevant content on all social media sites in respect of recruitment at the hotel, striving to increase audiences and engagement. Managing all associated photography.
- Researching and keeping up to date with all on-line recruitment sites, making suggestions for advertising.
- Proactively monitor activity and interest in all social media channels, adapting and sponsoring adverts where required.
- Generating statistics in relation to social media posts and the company website.
HR
- Regularly meeting with Heads of Departments, in respect of retention, performance, conduct and wellbeing/absence within their teams.
- Understanding the operational requirements within departments and adapting HR practices to ensure they are proactively working in line with best practice.
- Assisting with disciplinary investigations and grievance hearings where required.
- Producing new starter documentation, including offer letters and contracts of employment.
- Overseeing the successful onboarding all of employees, making this a seamless process.
- Providing accurate and timely administrative support to all other transactional HR processes.
- Producing and analysing various HR reports using the HRIS.
- Trouble shooting basic HRIS system errors and responding to system related queries.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of all HR policies and processes.
- Monitoring and actioning HR emails in the HR Manager’s absence.
- Assisting with the planning and administration of all staff social events, to aid employee relations.
- Assisting with HR project work to develop the HR Department.
- Ensure the presentation of the department meets the required standards and that GDPR is always adhered to.
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks as required and deemed to be within your capabilities to meet the needs of the business.
Hours of Work – Working 32 hours over 4 days.
