Situated on the outskirts of Glasgow they are keen for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join their team.
As the Senior Sous Chef you will be responsible for:
- Plan and execute menus in collaboration with other colleagues
- Ensure adequacy of supplies at all times
- Place orders in a timely manner
- Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis
- Follow the directions of the executive chefs
- Suggest new ways of presentation of dishes
- Suggest new rules and procedures for optimising the cooking process
- Give attention productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality
- Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with other colleagues and seniors.
You will Be/Have:
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef role within a 5* environment.
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools and processes
- Ability to be flexible and forward thinking.
- Experience with events and high end wedding/plated functions.
- Committed to continuing the high quality standards set by the establishment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Continually strives to improve on themselves, the team and their menus.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of best and latest cooking practices.
