Job Description
As Head Waiter/Waitress, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a high-end dining experience. You’ll take charge of your section, ensuring impeccable service while leading and inspiring your team to exceed guest expectations.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead your section to deliver a seamless and memorable dining experience.
- Train, support, and motivate the F&B team to maintain high service standards.
- Provide guests with expert guidance on menu selections, offering recommendations with enthusiasm and knowledge.
- Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring speed, accuracy, and quality.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and attentive approach with both guests and colleagues.
- Ensure the restaurant and all back-of-house areas are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Attend pre-service briefings to stay informed about daily menus, specials, and guest preferences.
- Confidently manage guest feedback and quickly resolve any issues to maintain satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and follow financial procedures.
- Drive sales by confidently upselling food and beverage items.
- Support stock control, including assisting with stock takes and inventory management.
- Contribute ideas for service improvements and revenue growth.
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a fine dining or Michelin-starred environment.
- Passion: A love for luxury hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Strong understanding of food, wine, and fine dining service.
- Ability to guide and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
- Excellent verbal and written skills to engage with guests and colleagues.
- A keen eye for presentation, cleanliness, and service excellence.
- Ability to adapt and perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
