We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and well-read Librarian to manage, analyse, and curate a diverse collection of literary, historical, and philosophical works. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for literature, a keen eye for intellectual analysis, and the ability to synthesise complex ideas into structured, insightful summaries. This role involves overseeing reading materials, maintaining an organised archive of summaries and notes, and facilitating meaningful discussions on various topics.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Read and critically analyse 5-10 books per month, spanning literature, history, philosophy, business, and contemporary subjects.
• Produce well-structured summaries in both English and Arabic, capturing key insights, themes, and arguments.
• Identify and highlight important passages, quotes, and concepts for further discussion.
• Maintain a comprehensive and well-organised database of reading materials, summaries, and notes.
• Engage in intellectual discussions, offering interpretations, insights, and alternative perspectives.
• Connect literary themes to current events, cultural developments, and historical contexts.
• Curate and update a recommended reading list based on literary and intellectual significance.
• Stay informed about emerging literary trends, publishing developments, and influential authors.
• Source and suggest books from publishers, libraries, and cultural institutions.
• Conduct research and propose additional reading materials that align with intellectual pursuits.

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in both English and Arabic, with exceptional reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Background in library sciences, publishing, cultural studies, literary analysis, or a related field.
