Achieve Hospitality is delighted to be partnering with one of Porto’s Exclusive Private Member’s Club, who is keen for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join their team.

Job Description

As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, ensuring an exceptional dining and service experience across the restaurant, bar, and event spaces. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality to maintain and elevate the F&B standards.

Role Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Manage daily food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all dining and event areas.
  • Service Excellence: Uphold high service standards by implementing best practices and ensuring that all F&B staff provide an outstanding guest experience.
  • Staff Management & Training: Lead, train, and mentor the F&B team, including bartenders, servers, and hosts/hostesses, fostering a culture of professionalism and hospitality.
  • Menu Development & Beverage Program: Work closely with chefs and the Head Bartender to develop food and beverage offerings that align with the Club’s identity and guest preferences.
  • Inventory & Procurement: Oversee the procurement of food, beverages, and supplies, managing inventory levels and supplier relationships to optimize cost control.
  • Compliance & Health Standards: Ensure all F&B operations comply with health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and analyse financial performance to maximise profitability while maintaining quality and service excellence.
  • Event & Private Dining Coordination: Collaborate with the Events team to facilitate seamless food and beverage service for private events, cultural programming, and Club gatherings.
  • Guest Relations & Feedback Management: Engage with members and guests, addressing any concerns or special requests to enhance their experience.
  • Innovation & Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, implementing innovative concepts that elevate the Club’s food and beverage offerings.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar managerial role within a high-end restaurant, private members’ club, or luxury hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a keen eye for detail.
