Working Hours: 5 days per week, with extensive travel requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Private Chef to join a distinguished household in Gibraltar. This travelling role requires the Chef to accompany the Principal on international trips, providing exceptional, personalised dining experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a background in yachting, chalet cooking, or experience as a Sous Chef in a private members’ club. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, preparing seasonal, health-conscious menus tailored to the Principal’s preferences and travelling to new destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare seasonal, health-conscious, and gourmet menus based on the Principal’s dietary preferences and tastes.
- Oversee kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency.
- Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to ensure consistent meal quality.
- Prepare meals for the Principal and small gatherings, with an emphasis on exceptional presentation and taste.
- Travel with the Principal as needed, providing top-tier culinary service in various locations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for the Principal.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Private Chef, with a background in yachting, chalet cooking, or as a Sous Chef in a private members’ club.
- Expertise in creating a variety of refined, fresh, and nutritious dishes.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to anticipate and meet the Principal’s culinary needs.
- Professional, discreet, and personable with a strong ability to build trust.
- Flexible and willing to travel frequently.
