Role: Sous Chef

Salary: Up to £36,000 (Dependant on Experience)
Work Schedule: Flexible working hours 45-48 hours per week

Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a Luxury Country House, who are keen for an experienced Sous Chef to join their team.
 
Situated in the glorious and rural Wiltshire countryside, this country house meets charm and spirit and is surrounded by private gardens. With newly refurbished suites, a re-launched kitchen garden restaurant and much more to come!
 
Role Responsibilities: 

• Be a key member of the brigade working under our Head Chef
• Be hands on in the kitchen with our lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus
• Help bring the ideas on future menu development for a la carte menus, events and our exciting Private Dining Domes
• Have a hands on role in learning how to manage the kitchen, maintaining standards, assisting with ordering, rotas, training and development for kitchen and front of house team members
• Be responsible for regulations and legislation within our kitchen while you are on shift.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, with experience as a Junior Sous or equivalent.
  
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and high standards of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Proficiency in managing various kitchen sections
• Ability to follow recipes and ensure consistency in dish quality.
• Experience in managing and mentoring kitchen staff, including providing on-the-job training.
• Ability to take initiative, manage tasks independently, and demonstrate leadership potential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
