An exceptional opportunity for a highly experienced Laundress to join a prestigious private household in Mayfair. You will be responsible for the full care of all garments and linens within the household, ensuring the highest standards of laundry, wardrobe management, and presentation. This is a key role within a professional team, offering long-term stability in a refined and elegant home.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within UHNW households or luxury yachts/hotels, and will bring a meticulous eye for detail, in-depth knowledge of fabric care, and a discreet, respectful demeanour.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing the full laundry cycle, including washing, steaming, ironing, stain removal, and handwashing delicate fabrics
• Caring for fine garments including couture, cashmere, silk, and formalwear, with expert handling and discretion
• Organising and maintaining wardrobes, including seasonal rotation, packing and unpacking for travel, and ensuring all items are properly stored and cared for
• Liaising with dry cleaning services and overseeing returns, repairs, and special cleaning requirements
• Mending and alterations where appropriate, or coordinating with external tailors
• Monitoring linen and towel stock, ensuring regular rotation and pristine presentation
• Keeping the laundry area immaculately clean, organised, and well-stocked with appropriate products
• Supporting the wider housekeeping team during quieter laundry periods as required
• Upholding the highest level of discretion and maintaining complete confidentiality at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a dedicated Laundress role within a private household or similar high-end setting
• Expert knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment handling
• Strong wardrobe management skills, with experience packing/unpacking for travel
• Excellent attention to detail, proactive mindset, and a calm, unflappable nature
• Fluent in English, with good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Right to work in the UK and checkable references
