Overview and Opportunity
Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a luxurious five-star Georgian country house hotel situated on the rugged cliffs of County Durham’s Heritage Coast. This property is recognised for numerous accolades, including AA 5 Red Star and Best UK Spa awards.
They are keen for an experienced Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team. This is a pivotal role within the kitchen as you will oversee a designated kitchen section, preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards while embracing locally sourced ingredients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Cook, prepare and present dishes in your section of the kitchen
- Ensure that all food is cooked, prepared and presented to high standards at all times
- Assist with ordering and stock control
- Monitor waste and portion control to keep profit margins
- Ensure that all health, safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, or Demi Chef de Partie looking to step up
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in professional cookery is desired but not essential
- Rosette experience is essential
- Passionate about the culinary arts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Works well under pressure
- Can work well both in a team and independently
- Strong time management and organisation
- Provide own knives
