Overview and Opportunity
 
Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a stunning 5 Star, 3 AA Rosette Boutique Hotel, based in the North Yorkshire Dales.  The Hotel’s Restaurant serves both a four course a la carte menu and six course tasting menu with wine pairing, in a relaxed setting.  They are looking to appoint an experienced Sous Chef to their experienced and successful Kitchen team. 
 
This exciting key role will be working alongside the vastly experienced Hotel Head Chef and will cover on days off, so candidates must be confident and capable to do so. The Hotel serves Dinner Monday to Saturday and Lunch on Sunday.
 
 
Responsibilities

  • Cook, prepare and present dishes
  • Ensure that all food is cooked, prepared and presented to high standards at all times
  • Assist with ordering and stock control
  • Ensure that all health, safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times
  • Confident & capable to cover for Head Chef

 
Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef 
  • Excellent high end cooking experience, especially with Meats & Fish
  • Previous 3 Rosette or 5 Star level experience
  • Passionate about the culinary arts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works well under pressure 
  • Can work well both in a team and independently
  • Strong time management and organisation
  • Provide own knives
