Job Title: Housekeeper
Location: Surrey
Salary: £40,000 gross per annum
Schedule: 5 days per week (including weekends on rotation when the family is in residence)
Start Date: ASAP
 
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming private household in Surrey. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and feels confident in the kitchen—particularly with simple cooking and home baking.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping and deep cleaning of the home to a high standard
• Laundry and excellent ironing, including wardrobe management and linen care
• Basic family-style cooking and support in the kitchen (baking is a bonus!)
• Unpacking groceries and keeping the kitchen well-organised
• Occasional school runs or household errands (if a driver)
• Working collaboratively with other household staff when the family is in residence
• Ensuring the home is always tidy, well-presented, and welcoming

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within a private household
• Positive, discreet, and hardworking with a proactive attitude
• Confident in the kitchen and enjoys baking
• Strong attention to detail and consistently high housekeeping standards
• A full driving licence is a strong advantage
• Flexible and team-oriented—willing to adapt and support when the family is in residence
• Able to manage time efficiently and work independently

Salary & Benefits

• £36,000 gross per annum
• 5-day working week (including weekends on a rota)
