Salary: £40,000 circa
Location: North Yorkshire, UK
Working Schedule: 48 hours, full time and permanent

Overview and Opportunity
 
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house team at a luxury property in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. 
 
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a guest-focused, high-energy environment and is confident in delivering elevated casual dining experiences with precision, warmth, and efficiency.
 
Job Description 
 
As Restaurant Manager, you will be fully responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service, exceptional guest satisfaction and strong team leadership. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head Chef and wider F&B team to maintain high standards of presentation, quality, and operational consistency, while also managing financial performance, staffing, and compliance.
 
Role Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop the front-of-house team to consistently deliver memorable guest experiences
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring service excellence and operational flow
  • Manage rotas, team training, performance reviews, and recruitment in line with business needs
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and senior management to ensure seamless coordination and communication
  • Monitor financial performance, control costs, and drive profitability through effective planning and resource management
  • Ensure all health & safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations are met and exceeded
  • Respond to guest feedback professionally, resolving issues to uphold the venue’s service standards
  • Assist in developing marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to increase footfall and guest engagement
  • Maintain stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and place orders as required

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Brasserie Manager, or Pizzeria Manager in a premium or high-volume setting
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with a hands-on approach
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a passion for delivering polished, efficient service
  • Sound financial acumen and experience managing budgets and stock controls
  • A solid understanding of F&B operations, including menu knowledge and beverage pairing
  • A natural host who leads from the front and thrives in a team-driven, guest-centric environment
