Overview
Achieve Hospitality are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef, for an URGENT requirement, based in Chester le Street, to lead the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating leadership and creativity in menu development. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes
  • Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, enhancing their skills in cooking and food preparation techniques
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve productivity and quality

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment
  • Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations
  • Demonstrated ability in team management, with excellent interpersonal skills to motivate staff effectively
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality
  • Previous experience in menu planning and development is highly desirable
  • A passion for cooking with an eye for detail in presentation and flavour combinations
