Job Title: Senior Sommelier
Salary: £42,000 circa + service charge 
Work Type: 50 hours per week over 5 days
Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday (shifts may vary)
Location: Lancashire
Start Date: ASAP

Overview 
An exciting opportunity to join an impressive, award-winning restaurant as a Senior Sommelier, set within a beautiful property and renowned hospitality operation.

The restaurant has achieved a Michelin Star within just a few years of opening, with an exceptional focus on seasonal produce, quality and service. 
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience and developing the wider wine and beverage offering.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wine to guests, delivering a high level of service.
• Engage with guests and make knowledgeable recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintain strong knowledge across wine, spirits, beer and cocktails.
• Manage stock requirements, place orders and support effective stock control.
• Contribute to beverage menu development and introduce ideas to improve the offering.
• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to maintain and continually improve beverage service.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Sommelier or similar position within high-end hospitality.
• WSET qualification with strong knowledge of wine and the wider beverage offering.
• Confident and professional personality with excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of presentation.
• Adaptable team player who can remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Passionate about learning and developing their knowledge within a high-end dining environment.
