Due to substantial growth and further development our client are looking to add a experienced Agriculture Engineer to their team.
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Agriculture Engineer to join our clients team team at a prestigious 1,000,000 sqm luxury resort in Sharm El Sheikh. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in landscape maintenance, design, and development, with a strong understanding of the unique environmental conditions in coastal and desert regions. As a Agriculture Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of the resort’s outdoor spaces, ensuring a pristine, visually appealing environment that reflects the high standards of the property.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Garden Design & Maintenance: Develop and maintain landscaped areas, including gardens, walkways, lawns, ponds, and natural vegetation to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the resort.
• Plant Care: Regularly monitor and care for a variety of plants, including native species, trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring they thrive in Sharm El Sheikh’s climate.
• Irrigation Systems: Manage and maintain automated irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water usage in a desert environment.
• Pest & Disease Control: Identify and manage plant pests and diseases using eco-friendly methods while maintaining the resort’s sustainability standards.
• Hardscaping: Assist with the installation and maintenance of outdoor features such as pathways, patios, and water features.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the resort’s landscape architects, contractors, and maintenance teams to implement landscaping projects and upgrades.
• Environmental Stewardship: Promote and practice environmentally sustainable gardening techniques that conserve water and protect local ecosystems.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all gardening work is carried out following health and safety regulations and resort policies.
• Seasonal Planting: Plan and execute seasonal planting schedules to maintain a vibrant, year-round appearance.
• Customer Experience: Ensure all landscaped areas are immaculately presented to enhance the guest experience, maintaining the resort’s 5-star standard.

Requirements for the role:

• Proven experience as a Landscape Gardener, preferably in large-scale resorts or hospitality environments.
• Strong knowledge of plant species suitable for desert and coastal environments.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and water conservation techniques.
• Ability to operate gardening equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of pest and disease control.
• Basic understanding of hardscaping techniques and landscape design.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in a hot, arid climate.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually stunning outdoor spaces.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of sustainability practices in landscaping.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a luxury resort setting.
• Knowledge of Arabic and/or English.
