Role Overview: Sous Chef
They are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. This on-site role involves managing daily kitchen operations, preparing and cooking delicious meals, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring the kitchen meets all safety and sanitation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals.
- Manage food inventory and monitor stock levels.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient culinary skills, including meal preparation and cooking.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Experience in menu planning and inventory management.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary role.
- Formal training or a degree in Culinary Arts is a bonus.
Benefits
- Competitive salary – £35,000 – £38,000
- Good work/life balance offering (42 hour week – overtime paid back in lieu)
