Key Responsibilities
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, memorable dining experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to create seasonal, creative, and innovative menus that reflect the property’s luxury standards.
- Kitchen Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate the kitchen team, maintaining a high level of professionalism and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Quality Control: Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to the property’s exacting standards.
- Operational Management: Assist in the planning and execution of daily operations, including stock control, ordering, and supplier management.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Guest Experience: Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally within a luxury hotel, fine-dining restaurant, or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a talented team.
- Expertise in modern and classical cooking techniques, with a flair for creativity and innovation.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP certification preferred).
- A passion for sourcing and working with the finest ingredients, with a commitment to sustainability.
