Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be working with our amazing client who are looking to add an experienced Spa Director to their current team.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Spa Director to lead our clients luxury spa and wellness facility at a prestigious 5-star resort in Morocco. This role requires a visionary leader with a passion for wellness, a strong background in luxury spa management, and the ability to create unforgettable guest experiences. The Spa Director will oversee all aspects of the spa’s operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, innovation, and profitability.
With wellness as a central focus of our clients resort’s offerings, the ideal candidate will combine exceptional business acumen, a flair for creativity, and an innate understanding of luxury guest expectations to position our clients spa as a world-class destination.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Operations
- Develop and execute the spa’s strategic vision to ensure alignment with the resort’s luxury brand and wellness focus.
- Oversee daily operations of the spa, ensuring seamless coordination of services, staff, and facilities.
- Establish and maintain spa protocols and standards, ensuring excellence in guest service delivery.
- Conduct regular assessments of spa offerings, making data-driven decisions to adapt to market trends and exceed guest expectations.
Guest Experience and Wellness Programming
- Design and implement innovative wellness programs, treatments, and packages that reflect current trends and the unique cultural identity of Morocco.
- Ensure all services are personalised, offering a world-class experience to each guest.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., F&B, fitness, and guest services) to create holistic wellness experiences.
Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, and motivate a team of skilled spa professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Implement ongoing professional development and training programs to maintain cutting-edge service standards.
- Lead by example in providing exceptional guest care and promoting the resort’s core values.
Financial and Business Management
- Develop and manage the spa’s annual budget, ensuring profitability while maintaining exceptional service quality.
- Monitor KPIs, including revenue, customer satisfaction, and staff performance, implementing improvements as needed.
- Establish pricing strategies that reflect the luxury market and attract a discerning clientele.
Brand Positioning and Marketing
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the spa’s unique offerings, including digital campaigns, partnerships, and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners and influencers in the wellness and hospitality industries.
- Ensure the spa is consistently positioned as a leading luxury wellness destination.
Facility and Quality Management
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the spa facilities, ensuring a luxurious and serene environment.
- Source and manage luxury spa products, ensuring authenticity, sustainability, and alignment with the resort’s ethos.
- Stay updated on global spa trends, innovations, and technologies, integrating them into the spa’s offerings where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Spa Director or in a senior leadership role within a luxury spa environment, preferably in a resort setting.
- Strong understanding of wellness, holistic health practices, and luxury spa trends.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower staff.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, revenue management, and financial reporting.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English; French and/or Arabic is highly desirable.
- Culturally sensitive, with an understanding of Moroccan traditions and global wellness trends.
