Head of Cultural Foundation

Salary: 50,000-70,000 AED monthly + accommodation, car, and family relocation support

We are seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking executive to lead a newly established cultural foundation in the UAE. This premier institution will focus on promoting Arabic and Islamic cultural expressions across literature, philosophy, arts, and historical traditions. The foundation aims to create a meaningful local impact while establishing international relevance. As the pioneering leader of this initiative, you will oversee the development of diverse programming, including exhibitions, educational initiatives, publishing projects, and cultural events that strengthen cultural identity and promote cross-cultural understanding.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute the foundation’s strategic direction, organisational structure, and operational framework
• Oversee the foundation’s establishment process, including legal formation, facility development, and systems implementation
• Build and manage a team of cultural professionals, curators, program coordinators, and support staff
• Develop signature programs encompassing literary events, philosophical discourse, exhibitions, and educational activities
• Establish collaborative relationships with governmental bodies, educational institutions, arts organisations, and community stakeholders
• Direct financial activities, including budget management, resource allocation, and sustainability planning
• Act as the foundation’s chief representative in cultural forums and relevant platforms
• Implement engaging public programs that increase appreciation for Arabic and Islamic cultural contributions

Ideal Candidate

• Substantial executive experience within cultural organisations, foundations, museums, or similar institutions
• Proven ability to develop and implement cultural initiatives of significant scale
• Comprehensive knowledge of Arabic and Islamic cultural traditions, literary heritage, and philosophical thought
• Excellence in team leadership and organisational development
• Full professional proficiency in Arabic and English
• Educational background in cultural studies, arts management, humanities, or related fields
• Demonstrated expertise in program development, stakeholder management, and institutional leadership
• Strategic thinker with practical implementation skills and creative problem-solving abilities
• Nuanced understanding of cultural diplomacy and commitment to authentic representation
