We are looking for an experienced and versatile Chef to work for a VVIP client in the Middle East, based in Saudi Arabia. This is a prestigious role within a highly staffed palace environment, requiring exceptional culinary skill, adaptability across cuisines, and the ability to deliver at the highest international standards.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in either private UHNW households, royal residences, or luxury 5-star hotels such as The Bulgari, Rosewood, or Four Seasons. While Chinese nationality and strong Asian cuisine experience is preferred, the candidate must also demonstrate flexibility and confidence in preparing a wide variety of global cuisines to suit the tastes of the principal, family, and distinguished guests.
Applicants must be professional, discreet, highly organised, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements. You will join a team of household staff, working closely with butlers, housekeepers, and other chefs to ensure the highest levels of service at all times.
Please note that the salary offered for the role will depend on the candidate’s previous earnings, skills, qualifications, and experience. Interviewing now for an ASAP start. Start date is flexible for the right candidate. Accommodation will be provided.
Duties and responsibilities;
- Preparing and presenting meals to the highest international standards.
- Specialising in Asian and Chinese cuisine, while demonstrating flexibility across Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Western cuisines.
- Designing menus according to the principal’s preferences, seasonal produce, and special dietary requirements.
- Coordinating with the household management team for banquets, receptions, and VIP entertaining.
- Ensuring immaculate kitchen organisation, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
- Supervising kitchen assistants and junior staff when required.
- Sourcing the freshest ingredients and managing stock control.
- Preparing fine dining experiences for both daily family meals and large-scale formal events.
- Demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in all duties.
To be considered for this role you must;
- Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Chef in UHNW households, royal residences, or 5-star international hotels.
- Be confident in Asian/Chinese cuisine with additional flexibility across multiple cuisines.
- Possess excellent contactable references.
- Be flexible to relocate and work in Saudi Arabia.
