Job Description
 
The Director of Private Office is a pivotal leadership role within the Chairman’s organisation. This role oversees the daily operations and strategic direction of the Private Office, which manages private properties, personal affairs, and related support services while leading a large team.
The Director will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing service standards, optimising cost efficiency, and ensuring the seamless delivery of services aligned with the Family’s strategic objectives. This includes property management, personal affairs oversight, support services, travel coordination, and crisis management.
 
Responsibilities
 
Strategic Leadership & General Management

  • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and mentorship to a cross-functional team.
  • Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for the Private Office.
  • Oversee daily operations, workflows, processes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Establish performance metrics and implement a performance management system.
  • Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of excellence.

Property Management

  • Oversee management and upkeep of all private properties and assets across the GCC.
  • Ensure five-star standards of service and property maintenance.
  • Monitor, review, and approve expenditures, payroll entries, and related financial documents.

Private Affairs Management

  • Oversee all aspects of the Family’s private affairs with discretion and efficiency.
  • Manage documentation including leases, taxation, and compliance records.
  • Direct personal and business travel arrangements for the Chairman and Family.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the Family on all Private Office matters.

Support Services Oversight

  • Lead the Private Office support functions, ensuring seamless collaboration across divisions.
  • Implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all support services.
  • Use data-driven insights to enhance performance, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Oversee sourcing and vendor management in alignment with Family preferences.

Direct Reports: 3 (Property Manager, Private Affairs Manager, Support Services Coordinator)
Indirect Reports: 200+ employees
 
Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of senior management experience, preferably in hospitality, property/compound management, or UHNW family office environments.
  • Proven ability to drive operational efficiency, service excellence, and cost optimisation.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills with experience managing large, diverse teams.
  • Expertise in property maintenance, luxury hospitality standards, and private office management.
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Valid driving licence.
