Role Overview: Sous Chef
They are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. This on-site role involves managing daily kitchen operations, preparing and cooking delicious meals, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring the kitchen meets all safety and sanitation requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals.
  • Manage food inventory and monitor stock levels.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficiency and consistency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient culinary skills, including meal preparation and cooking.
  • Solid understanding of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
  • Experience in menu planning and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary role.
  • Formal training or a degree in Culinary Arts is a bonus.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary – £35,000 – £38,000
  • Good work/life balance offering (42 hour week – overtime paid back in lieu)
