A wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced, meticulous, and trustworthy Housekeeper to join a private household in Fisher Island, Florida.
This position is ideal for a career housekeeper who genuinely enjoys cleaning and takes pride in maintaining a home to an exceptionally high standard. Approximately 90% of the role will be dedicated to cleaning and household upkeep, making it particularly suited to someone who is passionate about cleanliness, organization, and the detailed care of a high-end private residence.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, take initiative, and understand the importance of maintaining immaculate surroundings. The household values a calm, quiet, and respectful environment, so the ideal person will be warm and professional while respecting personal space and boundaries and working discreetly without the need for constant interaction.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed daily cleaning and deep cleaning throughout the residence to exceptional standards.
• Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and all other spaces to an immaculate standard.
• Organize and maintain the home, ensuring everything remains neat, orderly, and in its proper place.
• Manage laundry, ironing, folding, and clothing care, including delicate garments and fabrics.
• Understand and apply appropriate cleaning methods and products for stone floors, wood floors, and other high-end surfaces, materials, and finishes.
• Take excellent care of furnishings, fixtures, and household items.
• Prepare a simple breakfast each morning for one person.
• Walk Coco twice daily.
• Handle packages and deliveries.
• Coordinate access for maintenance workers, tradespeople, and delivery personnel.
• Monitor household supplies and communicate when cleaning products or other essentials need replenishing.
• Identify and report maintenance issues or anything requiring attention.
• Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality while respecting the household’s privacy and personal boundaries.

Candidate requirements

• Previous experience as a professional housekeeper in a private household, luxury residence, or comparable high-standard environment.
• A genuine passion for cleaning and pride in maintaining a home to an exceptionally high standard.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a meticulous, thorough approach to housekeeping.
• Experience caring for high-end homes, including knowledge of the correct cleaning techniques and products for stone, wood, and other premium surfaces and finishes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a consistently clean and orderly home.
• Experience with laundry, ironing, clothing care, and delicate fabrics.
• Calm, quiet, discreet, and professional, with a strong understanding of privacy and personal boundaries.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain high standards without constant supervision.
• Trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Comfortable preparing a simple breakfast, walking a dog twice daily, and managing deliveries and access for household service providers.
• Excellent references, ideally from previous employers who can personally attest to the candidate’s character, reliability, and standard of work.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, lifting, bending, and extended periods of movement.
