Role: Maintenance Technician (Plumber with Gas Safe)
Salary: Up to £35,000 
Location: Ripon, UK
Schedule: Full time (5 days over 7) include weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis). This role will also have an out of hours on call rota. 
 
We are delighted to be working with our fantastic luxury hotel client who are looking to add an experienced Maintenance Technician (Plumber with Gas Safe) to their team.
 
Role Responsibilities (not limited to): 

• To organise, carry out and implement total maintenance and upkeep the Capital Investment and building fabric of the hotels estate.
• Maintaining the estates farms, hotel & spa, staff accommodation and Bivouac site. 
• Responsible for services, gas, water, electricity and drainage,
• Responsible for the contents of the building, equipment, car parks and grounds.
• To carry out routine planned maintenance of the building.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years experience.
• Understanding the internal and external needs. 
• thorough knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Willingness to obtain a thorough knowledge of the Fire Precautions Act 1974.
• Willingness to obtain a thorough training of the Approved Code of Practice L8:2001 (Legionnaires Disease). 
• NVQ level 3 trade qualification with previous registration with gas safe under LPG and Oil and willingness to add under business gas safe registration.
• Ability to undertake or be suitably qualified to operate mobile access equipment. 
• Understanding of  production of risk and method statements & point of work risk assessments.
• Evidence of attendance on a H&S course.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

• Full UK Driving Licence
• H&S Qualification
• Asbestos management training
• Legionella management training 
• Time management training
• Pool plant qualification
• Part 1,Part 2, AM1 & AM2 electrical with 18th edition
• Electrical governing body approved (previous)
• Gas safe (previous) 
• Plumbing NVQ certification
• Building NVQ certification
• Joinery NVQ certification
• QUAD / ATV certification
• First Aid (1 or 3 Day training) Defib trained
