Role: Breakfast Chef
Salary: £28,000-£29,000
Location: Scottish Borders

Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be working with our fantastic client who are looking to add an experienced Breakfast Chef to their team.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Live Egg Station Operations:
    • Prepare and cook eggs in various styles (omelettes, scrambled, fried, poached, etc.) based on guest preferences.
    • Interact with guests at the live station, taking special requests and ensuring timely service.
    • Manage a clean and organised work station, including maintaining equipment and stock levels.
  • Breakfast Service:
    • Assist in the preparation of the full breakfast menu, including hot and cold dishes, pastries, and beverages for roughly 130 – 150 people
    • Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation are consistently met.
    • Monitor and maintain the quality and freshness of all breakfast items, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient breakfast service.
    • Assist with stock control and inventory management, ensuring proper rotation and usage of ingredients.
    • Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on any supply or operational needs.
  • Hygiene & Safety:
    • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with HACCP standards.
    • Regularly clean and sanitize the live station and equipment.
    • Ensure all kitchen operations meet health and safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, with a focus on breakfast service.
  • Expertise in egg preparation techniques, with the ability to handle multiple orders in a live environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during high-volume service periods.
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards (HACCP certification is a plus).
  • A positive attitude and passion for cooking and delivering a memorable dining experience.
