Live-in Domestic Couple

We are supporting our lovely client in the Cotswolds in their search for an experienced Domestic Couple for their estate in the Cotswolds, with a salary on offer of up to £70,000 per annum. 
 
The couple should be an experienced Gardener and Housekeeper and comfortable working in teams as both positions will be joining a large team. 
 
This will be a largely Monday-Friday role, with occasional weekend work when the Principals are in residence. 
 
Accomodation for this position will be a 2-bedroomed cottage, separate from the main house. 
 
Main responsibilities for the Gardener:

• Work closely with the Head Gardener to maintain the garden to a high horticultural standard. 
• Be responsible for the general maintenance of the garden such as mowing, weeding and hedge cutting. 

Main responsibilities for the Housekeeper:

• All aspects of housekeeping, laundry and ironing to the highest possible standards. 
• Deep and routine cleaning of the main house.  
• Liaise with the Head Housekeeper and work as part of the housekeeping team as well as individually at times. 
• Maintain the cleanliness and standards of the main house, as well as guest accommodation to be as welcoming as possible. 
• Held with unpacking and unloading grocery shopping on a weekly basis 
• Report any damages or breakages to the House Manager
• Ensure all bedroom and internal areas are stocked well and cleaned at all times

The ideal candidates:

• Proven experience as a Domestic Couple in a private household or estate
• Horticulture experience with a qualification being beneficial 
• RHA level 2 or equivalent and spray certificates PA1/PA6 are essential, while a chainsaw certificate would also be beneficial 
• Impeccable standards of housekeeping and gardening 
• Ability to work alone, but also integrate into the retrospective teams that currently work on the estate
