We are delighted to be working with our fantastic client who are looking to add an experienced Junior Sous Chef to their kitchen team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our clients culinary team at Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will play an integral role in supporting kitchen operations, delivering high-quality dishes, and ensuring that all food preparation meets our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and Cooking: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes across various sections, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained.
- Support Senior Chefs: Work alongside the Sous Chef and Head Chef to manage daily kitchen operations, oversee staff, and provide hands-on training to junior team members.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes leave the kitchen at the highest standard, checking for taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Inventory Management: Help monitor stock levels and place orders as needed, minimising waste while ensuring the freshest ingredients are available.
- Hygiene and Safety Compliance: Uphold the kitchen’s sanitation and health and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Team Collaboration: Assist in leading, mentoring, and motivating junior staff to foster a positive, efficient, and cooperative team atmosphere.
- Menu Development: Contribute ideas for menu items and daily specials, collaborating with the Head Chef to innovate and improve our offerings.
Skills and Qualifications
- Culinary Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional kitchen experience, ideally with experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Passion for Food: A genuine love of food, with a commitment to creating dishes that delight and excite our guests.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and consistency, with the ability to work under pressure and meet high standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, train, and support junior chefs.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety and health regulations, with certification in Food Safety and Hygiene preferred.
