Job Title: Full-Time Housekeeper
Location: Weybridge, Surrey
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 or 11:00 – 20:00 (with rest periods). Flexibility for offsite work and longer hours may be required.
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 gross per annum

Start Date: ASAP
 
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper to join a lovely household in Weybridge, Surrey. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our home.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean and organise bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, dining areas, gym, hallways, living spaces, and study rooms.
  • Vacuum, mop, scrub, and polish floors as needed.
  • Dust and polish furniture, decorative items, blinds, carpets, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Change bed linens and cushion covers as required.
  • Manage laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and sorting clothing and linens.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including kitchen work surfaces and appliances.
  • Handle personal clothing and linens with care, including washing, ironing, and organising.
  • Sort items for dry cleaning and maintain an inventory of sent and returned items.
  • Plan menus, cook, and serve meals for the family and guests, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain a well-stocked pantry and monitor food inventory.
  • Provide care for household pets, including feeding, grooming, and coordinating vet visits.
  • Assist with driving and supervising children for school and activities.
  • Support children’s needs, including preparation for school and ensuring punctuality.

Outdoor Maintenance:

  • Maintain and tidy outdoor areas, including gardens, patios, and recreational spaces.
  • Supervise repairs and maintenance of outdoor facilities.

Visitor Management:

  • Prepare for visitors by preparing rooms, stocking food, and coordinating activities.

Ideal candidate

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing private households.
  • Prior experience in childcare and pet care is an advantage.
  • High service aptitude, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and attentive to detail.
