We are seeking an innovative and passionate Head of Mixology to lead the beverage program at our clients luxury 5-star property. The ideal candidate will craft an unparalleled cocktail experience, blending creativity, exceptional service, and the highest quality ingredients to elevate our bars as destinations of choice for discerning guests. Key Responsibilities
 
Strategic Leadership

• Program Development: Design and implement a world-class beverage program that reflects the property’s luxury standards and brand identity.
• Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of global mixology trends, integrating them into the guest experience in innovative ways.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of mixologists and bar staff, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.

Guest Experience

• Signature Cocktails: Create a menu of signature cocktails that enhances the property’s culinary narrative and provides a memorable guest experience.
• Customisation: Offer tailored beverage experiences for VIPs, events, and special occasions.
• Engagement: Interact with guests to share the story behind their drinks, enhancing the personal connection and luxury experience.

Operational Excellence

• Cost Management: Oversee beverage inventory, procurement, and costing to maintain profitability without compromising quality.
• Compliance: Ensure that all beverage operations adhere to local liquor laws and health and safety regulations.
• Standards: Establish and maintain service and presentation standards that align with the 5-star property’s reputation.

Collaboration

• Partnerships: Work closely with the culinary team to develop food and beverage pairings and thematic experiences.
• Marketing Support: Collaborate with marketing to promote the beverage program through storytelling, social media, and events.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in high-end mixology, with at least 2 years in a leadership role at a luxury property or top-tier bar.
• Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, and cocktail crafting techniques. Certification as a sommelier or mixologist is a plus.
• Creativity: Proven ability to conceptualise and execute innovative cocktail menus.
• Leadership: Strong team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
• Guest Focus: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in bar technology and beverage costing software.
