Position: Live-In or Live-Out Senior Housekeeper
Accommodation: Optional 1-2 bedroom cottage separate from the main house (partners and well-behaved pets welcome)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 18:30, with occasional flexibility for weekends
 
A family of 5 is looking for a Senior Housekeeper to assist them in their 10-bedroom, 3-storey home near Hungerford. Hoping to have someone starting immediately, the ideal candidate is someone with a few years experience and would be happy to hit the ground running. 
 
 
The Senior Housekeeper will oversee the smooth running of the household while working collaboratively with a team of three other staff. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced, proactive, well-presented, and detail-oriented. This role requires hands-on housekeeping, wardrobe management, and occasional light personal assistant duties.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Organising and maintaining the family’s wardrobes, including seasonal changes and garment care.
• All laundry and ironing
• Carrying out general cleaning duties to uphold the high standards of a luxury home
• Managing errands such as parcel drop-offs, dry cleaning, online shopping, and other small tasks.
• Preparing simple meals occasionally, as needed.
• Flower arrangements
• Monitoring and restocking pantry items and household supplies.
• Assisting with basic care for the family’s spaniel when required.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a similar role within a HNW household.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Comfortable collaborating within a team environment.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to commute daily if the candidate opts to live out.
• Willingness to accommodate occasional weekend work or adapt to the family’s needs.
• Highly professional and well-presented.
