Role: Assistant Restaurant Manager
Location: Bath, Somerset 
Salary: £30,000-£32,000 plus service charge 

Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a eclectic and luxurious Georgian Country House who are committed to luxury, refinement and impeccable service.
 
Situated on the outskirts of the City of Bath they are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their front of house team.
 
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Providing guests with positive memorable experiences during breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
  • Take responsibility for all operational aspects of the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
  • Demonstrate your passion for the role through your knowledge of the hotel, the dishes you serve and the drinks selection they offer.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and ensure a warm and friendly welcome, creating a positive first impression
  • Handle guest complaints and inquiries promptly and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction and problem resolution which in turn is handed over to the senior team.
  • Ensure consistent communication of guest issues with all departments.
  • See that all guest bills are accurate and assigned to the correct locations by the end of service with dockets signed by hotel guests when required.
  • Play a key role in orchestrating private and corporate events, including exclusive-use bookings, by coordinating with the restaurant and events team and ensuring seamless execution.
  • To ensure the safety of our guests through thorough the checking and communicating of all allergy and dietary requirements at all times.

You Will Be/Have:
 

  • Ideally come from a headwaiter or supervisor position.
  • Hotel experience is essential, and some bar/beverage knowledge. Banqueting and events experience is a bonus.
  • Foster a positive work environment through leading by example, setting high standards, and motivating the team to provide exceptional service.
  • Take the lead in training new and current team members with their departmental training and leveraging our in-house training programs and apprenticeship opportunities to upskill at every opportunity.
  • Maintain a calm and level-headed demeanour throughout the day with a particular focus on service periods.
  • Organising and delegating duties effectively enabling the team to see you are a manager but have the ability to work alongside them as one of the team when required.
  • Assist with creating and managing team rotas ensuring shifts are staffed appropriately using your knowledge of service requirements and an awareness of payroll.
  • Maintain staffing levels to suit the needs of the business at all times.
  • Assist within other F&B departments when required to provide a positive guest experience and good team moral.
  • Conduct service briefings to inform team members of plans for service including special requirements, special events and guest allergens.
  • Address team performance issues promptly and provide coaching and guidance ensuring the Restaurant Manager is kept updated of all actions.
