Family Office Operations Manager

£70,000-£80,000 per year

We are searching for a yacht Captain or Chief Officer who is looking for a land-based position in Central London, to take up an Operations Assistant role with our long-standing client.
 
In this role, you will directly support the Operations Director of the Family Office in managing the projects and assets of the family’s portfolio, as well as serving as the primary point of contact for all external suppliers.
 
This role has the potential to develop into a Directorship for the Family Office within the next five years.
 
Due to the nature of the Office and the planned projects, candidates must have extensive experience as a Chief Officer.
 
Main responsibilities:

  • Overseeing project management from asset construction and development through to ongoing operations
  • Managing construction/development programs for family assets
  • Collaborating with onsite supervisors to develop financial plans and budgets for various projects
  • Handling budgets and expenditure management for family projects and assets
  • Supporting and supervising household managers
  • Managing and coordinating travel arrangements for the family’s support teams
  • Overseeing staff payroll, compensation, and benefits recommendations
  • Implementing regular reporting and compliance documentation for properties, aviation, and yachting sectors
  • Financial oversight, including budgeting and management of operational costs for the family’s assets
  • Managing payments and financial operations
  • Liaising with Finance, Legal, and other divisions within the Family Office

The ideal candidate:

  • Extensive Chief Officer experience in the yachting industry with strong knowledge of yacht operations, safety protocols, and financial management
  • Proven ability to schedule and manage the positioning of aircraft/yachts
  • Experience in property management, preferably in or around London
  • Strong budget management and financial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and work well within a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience in the aviation sector is a plus but not essential
