Role: Restaurant and Bar General Manager

Salary: up to £60,000 plus bonus
Work Schedule: Full time, 45 hours per week

Situated in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, this property is keen for an ambitious and passionate Restaurant & Bar General Manager to support their plans to elevate their guest experience.

Job Description
 
As the Restaurant & Bar General Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that the Bar and Restaurant run efficiently and that customers are excited with the quality of food and the service they receive.
  • You’ll be a great leader, effectively developing, managing your team, as well as being polite, courteous and professional. 
  • Under your leadership, the team will provide a memorable and efficient service at all times to maintain an exceptional standard of service and quality.
  • You will demonstrate vibrant and motivational leadership to inspire your team to achieve consistent high standards, whilst at the same time manging the business effectively.
  • You will help drive the innovation of both venues to keep ahead of the market for food and beverage trends.
  • Additionally you’ll have a key focus on achieving budgeted food and beverage sales, whilst monitoring labour costs and profitability.

Candidate Requirements

  • Excellent leadership skills with experience of developing and leading a team. You’ll also have experience in a senior role within food and beverage operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills to ensure a seamless and memorable experience, proactively resolving any challenges that may arise and tracking and reviewing feedback to implement long term customer satisfaction solutions
  • A great developer of your team and actively train your team to be their full potential
  • Strong communication skills through a variety of means
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks
  • High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing one’s own time and the time of the team
  • Ability to stay calm and work under pressure.
