Private Nurse & Household Support – Calgary, AB
Location: Calgary, AB (Live-in preferred; accommodation available if required)
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
Schedule: 10-12 hours per day (live-in or live-out); travel required
 
A high-net-worth family in Calgary is seeking a compassionate and experienced Private Nurse & Household Support to assist the Principal’s wife in caring for her husband, who is in the advanced stages of Parkinson’s disease. This role is a mix of medical care, personal support, and household assistance, ensuring the highest level of comfort for the family.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist the wife in caring for her husband, including personal care (bathing, dressing, diaper changes)
• Administer medications and monitor his overall well-being
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
• Provide general support to the wife, including running errands, organising appointments, and household assistance
• Accompany the husband to medical appointments and therapy sessions
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when needed
• Maintain a clean and organised environment for the couple
• Travel with the family as required, providing care and logistical support

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) qualification preferred (experienced caregivers will be considered)
• Experience with Parkinson’s disease or neurodegenerative conditions
• Strong organisational and logistical skills, able to support the wife in managing household tasks
• Warm, compassionate, and professional, with a discreet and respectful approach
• Flexibility to travel with the family when needed
• Eligible to work in Canada; clear background check and references required
