Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 gross per annum

We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to manage kitchen operations for a private household in London. This role reports to the House Manager and oversees the Sous Chef and Kitchen Assistant. The Head Chef will be responsible for creating exceptional culinary experiences for the principals, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare weekly menus based on principals’ preferences, seasonal ingredients, and current health and wellness trends
- Source high-quality local and speciality ingredients, maintaining relationships with premium suppliers
- Manage kitchen inventory, food costs, and waste control while maintaining adequate stock levels
- Oversee kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance management, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain impeccable hygiene standards
- Coordinate with the Butler and Nanny teams to ensure meals are prepared at required times
- Maintain kitchen equipment and organise repairs when needed
- Be available for domestic and international travel when required
- Stay current with culinary trends, techniques, and innovations
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding principals and household information
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, preferably in a private household setting
- Advanced culinary training and excellent technical cooking skills across diverse cuisines
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and current food trends
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Leadership abilities with a positive approach to team management
- Meticulous attention to detail and impeccable standards
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements

- Valid food safety certifications
