Role: Senior Sous Chef
Location: North Devon
Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 (dependant on experience)
Work Schedule: Full time, Permanent, 48 hours per week
Accommodation: Available if needed
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a family run property, situated on the beautiful coastline of North Devon. They are keen for an ambitious and organised Senior Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. A busy, fast paced environment that booms in the summer and is more intimate in the winter.
The Senior Sous Chef will bring quality, attention to detail and inspire the team to deliver outstanding fresh food in the restaurant as well serving the snug bars.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting the head chef in the daily kitchen operations
- Managing food preparation
- Ensuring high-quality and consistent cuisine
- Overseeing kitchen staff.
- Menu planning.
- Maintaining inventory.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting in staff training and development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in culinary arts, including food preparation, menu planning, and recipe development
- Strong management skills, including team leadership, staff training, and kitchen operations coordination
- Knowledge and application of health and safety standards and food safety regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Creativity and passion for culinary excellence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
- Formal culinary education or equivalent experience is preferred.
