Job Title: Live-in Housekeeper
Accommodation: Flat provided
Hours: Mon-Friday (flexibility when Principal is in residence)
Salary: £40,000 per year

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper to an Achieve Hospitality client’s large private estate in Hertfordshire.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in private housekeeping, offering meticulous attention to detail, discretion and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.

This estate is not used as a permanent residence, so will be busier during times that the family visit the property throughout the year. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all household areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces.
  • Care for fine furnishings, antiques, and artwork, reporting maintenance needs.
  • Launder and manage clothing, linens, and household textiles.
  • Manage cleaning supplies and oversee household inventory.
  • Assist with errands, guest reception, and liaising with contractors.
  • Ensure security and operate alarm systems competently
  • Occasional cooking when the family are in residence
  • Coordinate with the gardening team for fresh produce.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Extensive private housekeeping experience in a formal household.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Skilled in caring for fine furnishings, antiques, and artwork.
  • Strong organisational and inventory management skills.
  • Reliable, discreet, and professional with excellent communication.
  • Flexible and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Confident in managing security and household operations.
