Job Title: Private Summer Chef
Location: Antibes, France
Salary: £4,000 net per month
Work Schedule: 5 days out of 7 per week
Start Date: 12 May 2025 (4 month summer contract)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Private Chef to join a distinguished family in the beautiful surroundings of Antibes. This exciting and dynamic role requires preparing daily meals at their private residence while also accompanying the family on international trips, delivering exceptional, personalised dining experiences across a range of settings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in yachting, chalet cooking, or experience as a Sous Chef in a private members’ club. You must be adaptable, creative, and committed to crafting seasonal, health-conscious, and beautifully presented menus tailored to the family’s tastes and dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and execute bespoke, seasonal menus aligned with the Principal’s preferences and dietary needs.
- Prepare daily meals to the highest standards, focusing on freshness, health, and presentation.
- Collaborate closely with the wider chef team to ensure seamless meal service across locations.
- Shop for and source local, high-quality ingredients while travelling.
- Maintain impeccable hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge desirable).
- Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments, whether at villas, yachts, private residences, or other venues.
- Respond flexibly to the Principal’s evolving requirements, including last-minute travel and menu changes.
- Manage kitchen stock, organisation, and equipment while on the move.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Private Chef, Sous Chef in a private members’ club, yacht, or chalet environment.
- Must hold a valid driving license
- Extensive experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure kitchens.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, health-focused cooking, and dietary adaptations.
- Highly adaptable, resourceful, and able to perform in diverse international settings.
- Professional, discreet, and dedicated to providing a luxury service experience.
- Ability to work independently and be confident to shop locally sourcing local produce.
- Fluent in English; French language skills a plus.
- HACCP certification or strong knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in France.
Package:
- £4,000 net per month (paid in Pounds Sterling)
