Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor
Location: Northumberland
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum (inclusive of service charge/gratuities)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reports to: Restaurant Manager/General Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of a busy restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exceptional hospitality, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support front-of-house team members during service
- Mentor, train, and develop staff, ensuring high performance and team cohesion
- Maintain expert knowledge of menus, specials, and allergens to assist both guests and the team
- Liaise regularly with the Head Chef regarding menu updates and guest feedback
- Allocate daily responsibilities to the team and oversee the smooth running of all shifts
- Conduct spot checks to maintain high standards across restaurant, lounge, and bar areas
- Uphold all health & safety, hygiene, and food service standards
- Manage guest queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including rotas, stock levels, and reservations
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory or team leader role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team under pressure
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- A positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
- Own transport is recommended due to the location
