Job Title: Full-Time Housekeeper – Chelsea (Temp to Perm)
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, Rota shifts between 3 housekeepers, 6:30 am start – 3:30 pm; 8 am – 5 pm; 11 am – 8 pm)
Occasional travel with the family if requested
Salary: £50,000 gross per annum
Start Date: ASAP – maternity cover until December
 
A fully-staffed household in Chelsea is seeking a professional and experienced Housekeeper to join their team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave, with the likelihood of the role becoming permanent. The successful candidate must have experience working in UHNW households, speak fluent English, and enjoy working in a home with children and dogs. A warm, discreet, and proactive approach is essential, along with the ability to work well as part of a team.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping duties including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitising
• Deep cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas
• Laundry and ironing (including managing dry cleaning arrangements)
• Care of soft furnishings, draperies, and blinds
• Tidying and maintaining household organisation
• Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies
• Occasional breakfast preparation and service
• Supporting the principal with errands and household logistics
• Greeting guests, managing packages, and coordinating contractors
• Assisting with morning routines, including helping mum with the children
• Daily care of the family dog and indoor plants
• Working as part of a wider household team and maintaining high standards of discretion and professionalism

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in UHNW households is essential
• Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills
• Proactive, discreet, and reliable with a can-do attitude
• Comfortable and confident supporting children with morning routines (firm but kind approach)
• Competent with laundry and ironing, including delicate items
• Comfortable with dogs and occasional pet care
• Willingness to travel occasionally if requested
