Role: Private Chef (Temp to Perm)
Location: Gibraltar
Daily Rate: £350 gross per day
Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
Start Date: 16th of June x2 weeks
 
We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Private Chef to join a distinguished household and a team of travelling chefs. The ideal candidate will have a background in private households, yachting, chalet cooking, or experience as a Sous Chef in a private members’ club. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, preparing seasonal, health-conscious menus tailored to the Principal’s preferences.
 
Responsibilities

• Design and prepare seasonal, health-conscious, and gourmet menus based on the Principal’s dietary preferences and tastes.
• Oversee kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency.
• Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to ensure consistent meal quality.
• Prepare meals for the Principal and small gatherings, with an emphasis on exceptional presentation and taste.
• Travel with the Principal as needed, providing top-tier culinary service in various locations.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for the Principal.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Private Chef, with a background in private households, yachting, chalet cooking, or as a Sous Chef in a private members’ club.
• Expertise in creating a variety of refined, fresh, and nutritious dishes.
• Highly organised, adaptable, and able to anticipate and meet the Principal’s culinary needs.
• Professional, discreet, and personable with a strong ability to build trust.
• Flexible to travel if needed.

Additional Information

This is a temporary position for two weeks, starting on the 16th of June, with the potential to become permanent following a successful two-week assignment. This opportunity would suit a chef looking for a new role with a lovely family and a temp-to-perm position.
