Groundsman

We are currently seeking two motivated Groundsmen to join our dedicated team in the Exeter area. This is a hands-on, full-time role ideally suited for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining well-kept grounds, green spaces, and wooded areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and general grounds maintenance
• Landscaping, turf laying, and site clearance
• Maintenance of sports pitches, tennis courts, lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees, and paths
• Operate and maintain equipment including mowers, strimmer’s, tractors, chainsaws, pole saws, and hedge cutters
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers safely and accurately
• Keep sites clean, safe, and presentable at all times
• Clear pathways of leaves and debris; assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal and leaf collection
• Inspect, maintain, and report on the condition of equipment
• Keep accurate records of completed work, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance

Desirable Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or similar outdoor work is preferred but not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence is required
• NPTC Chainsaw qualifications are highly advantageous, especially for woodland maintenance
• Physically fit with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively within a small, friendly team
