Overview and Opportunity
We are keen to speak with experienced Restaurant Managers as we have an exciting opportunity with our client based in Beaconsfield, UK.
The Restaurant Manager will lead by example, possess excellent attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on exceeding expectations and operational excellence. This is a pivotal role in the business, launching a new dining concept, with their new venture, a tasting menu with a farm-to-plate philosophy, showcasing locally sourced ingredients with an unexpected twist.
Role Responsibilities
- Reporting to Head Chef overseeing daily operations and ensuring employee productivity whilst monitoring efficiency of all processes
- Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth service
- Creating a positive work environment for employees, and managing the daily shifts of all front of
- house departments
- Managing employee and guest feedback, including complaints, quickly and efficiently, finding
- suitable solutions to problems that may arise and communicating issues to colleagues in a
- constructive and clear manner
- Establish and maintain excellent standards of guest service
- Being proactive in making sure training is maintained in all aspects of service
- Ensuring compliance with H&S regulations throughout the hotel
- Monitoring reservations emails and phone calls – ensuring all booked guests are confirmed for
- the day/week.
- Use booking platform to monitor previous bookings and ensuring any repeat guests are noted and making team aware
- Responding to reviews online and in house including, Google and TripAdvisor
- Welcoming guests, ensuring they are greeted and seated upon arrival
- Training of all front of house staff
- Liaise with the Head Sommelier and Head Chef about menus, wines and order of service
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in a managerial role at Michelin Star establishment or at least 4 AA rosettes
- Impeccable standards with a passion for delivering outstanding service
- Immaculate presentation and communication skills
- Thrives under pressure, handles challenges with calm and clarity
- Hands-on, solutions-focused, and always looking for ways to constantly improve
- Fluent in reading and writing of the English language
