Overview and Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our clients hotel property, a renowned 4-star hotel, within a 2AA Rosette-Awarded restaurant.
The hotel has a strong food and beverage offering including the restaurant, bar food, afternoon teas, weddings, events, and private dining options.
Job Description
The Head Chef will be responsible for creating a strong and well structured kitchen team and communicating in a clear and structured manner with their team and all heads of departments.
Our client is looking for a hands-on Head Chef to develop seasonal menus showcasing your exceptional culinary skills, as well as taking control over all aspects of the catering operation including, food costs, health and safety documentation and more.
Applicants must be available to travel to the hotel for an interview.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in a high-volume kitchen is preferred
- Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Creativity in developing new dishes and menus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Formal culinary training or certification is a plus
