Job Description:
A dynamic UHNW Family based in Ascot is seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper to take day-to-day responsibility for the cleanliness, upkeep, and presentation of a key private residence. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the House Manager to ensure that exceptionally high standards are consistently maintained.
This is a position where the candidate will work in a professional and discreet environment. Discretion, reliability, and flexibility are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on all housekeeping duties within the residence.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all rooms, staircases, corridors, and additional on-site properties.
- Care for a wide range of furnishings, including antiques, upholstery, curtains, silver, brass, and decorative objects.
- Carry out laundry and ironing duties, make beds, change linens, and manage wardrobe and cupboard organisation.
- Clean crockery, silverware, and glassware to a high standard.
- Monitor household supplies and liaise with the House Manager regarding stock levels and replenishments.
- Report any damages or breakages promptly.
- Follow environmentally conscious cleaning practices wherever possible.
- Ensure absolute discretion, privacy, and security for all household members and guests.
- Provide front-of-house support during events and weekends, including hospitality for guests.
- Assist with the care of household dogs as required.
- Locking/unlocking and maintaining security of the property.
- Comply with all health and safety procedures.
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties as directed by the House Manager.

- Proven experience in a similar private household or high-standard environment.
- Discreet, reliable, and committed to upholding strict confidentiality.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and calm under pressure, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive, positive attitude with a mature and professional demeanour.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Creative, organised, and self-motivated.
- Team player who thrives in fully staffed households.
- Comfortable around dogs and other small farm animals.
