Role: Breakfast Chef
Location: Whitby, North Yorkshire, UK
Salary: £28,000 circa + tips
Work Schedule: 30 hours per week (6am-12pm, 5 out of 7 days)
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Overview and Opportunity:
Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a luxury spa and wellness retreat in Whitby, North Yorkshire which has recently been transformed into a high-end coastal getaway.
They are keen for an experienced Breakfast Chef to join their culinary team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook all breakfast items to Rosette level.
- Set up the kitchen each morning and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
- Work efficiently with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Ensure consistent quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Support menu development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a quality kitchen, ideally within a rosette or high-standard hotel restaurant.
- Confident in preparing and presenting premium breakfast dishes to consistent, high standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures (Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum).
- Excellent organisation and time management – able to run breakfast service independently.
- High attention to detail in presentation, portion control, and plating.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early morning starts.
- Professional and positive attitude, with a strong teamwork ethos.
- Flexibility to support other areas of the kitchen when needed.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality food.
